Beginning June 1, 2024, new parameters were in place for CE Audit in accordance with CBDM policy. If your certification is active and you have reported more than 0.5 CE but less than 45.0 CE on May 31 of the third year end of your recertification period, you will be automatically placed into the CE Audit process and be required to pass the CE Audit in order to remain actively certified.

The CBDM has now approved Volunteer Leadership as a qualifying activity for continuing education. An individual serving in a volunteer activity (in a leadership position such as a board member, committee chairperson, etc.), for an organization and for which no compensation is received, can now receive CE hours.

At a recent meeting, the Certifying Board for Dietary Managers (CBDM) voted to require that CDM, CFPPs earn one continuing education (CE) hour focusing on professional ethics during their three-year recertification period. This new policy is effective June 1, 2019.
