Certifying Board for Dietary Managers (CBDM)
May 2024
Dear INSERT_FIRST_NAME,

We’re excited to bring you the first edition of the CBDM Quarterly Update, a newsletter dedicated to keeping you updated with the latest information on policies, deadlines, and all things certification you need to know!  In this edition, we'll be focusing on the new CE Audit policy and reminders.

While you've already received communications on these policy changes, we want to provide you with all the information in one convenient place.

We hope you find this quarterly newsletter informative and valuable. Your feedback and suggestions are always welcome!
CE AUDIT POLICY UPDATES
Beginning June 1, 2024, new parameters will be in place for the CE Audit in accordance with CBDM policy.
  • If you have reported more than 0.5 CE hours but fewer than 45 CE hours by 11:59 p.m. CT on May 31, 2024, you will automatically be placed in the CE Audit process.

  • If you have not submitted any CE hours by this date, you will not be placed into CE Audit. Your certification will be terminated, and you will need to qualify under a current path of eligibility, submit an exam application with fees, and retest to become certified again.

DOES YOUR RECERTIFICATION PERIOD END MAY 31, 2024?

If your three-year recertification period is up on May 31, 2024, please keep an eye out for e-mails from CBDM with reminders on the number of CE hours you still may owe as well as information on audit selection.

If you have met all CE requirements, you may be randomly selected for CE Audit. Notification of CE Audit selection will be e-mailed on June 3, 2024, to the e-mail address on file in your ANFP record. All individuals, including those who may be randomly selected, will be required to take all stated actions to pass the CE Audit. If you are not selected for CE Audit, your next recertification period will begin immediately on June 1. Please keep a lookout for all CBDM e-mails during this critical period.

To avoid missing critical communications about required actions and deadlines, please ensure that your contact information in your ANFP record is accurate and up to date. We recommend using a personal e-mail address to prevent these messages from being marked as spam.
